How to Apply DTF Transfers

Follow these steps for a smooth finish and longer-lasting print.

Pre-Press

Pre-press the garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Position Transfer

Place the transfer exactly where you want the design printed.

Press

Apply the recommended temperature, pressure, and time settings.

Peel Film

Peel according to the recommended method for your fabric.

Final Press

Cover with parchment or butcher paper and press again for 5 seconds.

Common Pressing Problems

Increase pressure, add a few seconds, and make sure your heat press is reaching the correct temperature.
Apply more pressure and complete a second finishing press.
Lower the temperature by 10–15 degrees, reduce press time, and use a protective sheet.
Complete the final press with parchment or butcher paper to improve finish and feel.

Every heat press is slightly different. Before pressing a large order, test one garment first and make small adjustments to heat, time, or pressure.
